Precious metals, forever

All the pieces in my collection are made with sterling silver with 18ct gold details. All my work complies with UK Hallmarking regulations, bearing the London Assay Office mark where necessary. Find out more about hallmarking on the Assay Office website.

Made-to-order commissions are available in a range of metals including yellow, white and rose 18ct gold, sterling silver as well as platinum.

One-of-a-kind gemstones

My passion for beautiful, unusual gems is the starting point for most of my designs. I love to combine light and dark colours, opaque and transluscent textures. In particular I love the subtle glow of moonstones, which come in a variety of colours. I also love working with cat’s eye stones- they have fine, slender parallel mineral fibres which reflect light in a single band. They give cat’s eye stones a beautifully defined streak of light which moves as you see it from different angles.

The gemstones are sourced from trusted suppliers in London and abroad, and mostly cut to order for me. If you have a particular shape or stone in mind, please let me know!

Subtle finishes on precious metals

On silver and gold, I generally like to use a brushed finish, as opposed to a highly polished finish. I love the look and feel of it, I think it fits the modernist and geometric aesthetic I use, and lets the gems shine even more. With wear, especially rings, the metal will become shinier.

I would generally advise to treat your jewellery with care, for example not wear your rings whilst doing heavy manual work or when washing dishes. I’d also suggest keeping your jewellery in a box when you’re not wearing it, to reduce exposure to scratches and rubbing. If dust has accumulated on gems in open-back settings, you can give them a gentle clean using an old toothbrush and a little washing up liquid.

I am really fond of the oxidised finish on silver, so I use it a lot in my work– however please be aware that this is just a thin surface finish, which rubs off with heavy wear.

Please get in touch if you would like your brushed or oxidised finish refreshed. I’d be happy to do this for you free of charge.
