I really enjoy working on commissioned pieces as the story behind the commission becomes so much a part of the design and informs the finished piece.
How to commission….
Have a think about your priorities for the commission. Do you know what form (ie. ring, necklace etc.) you'd like the commission to take? Do you have ideas as to the materials you'd like to use, the colour or shape of the stone, the type of metal? Have a good look at all the images on the website and see what you do and don't like; a colour from one piece, the setting from another.
Contact me . Either by phone or by email and arrange a consultation. Initial discussions will ensure it's going to suit the person who's going to be wearing it, the circumstances it's going to be worn in and the pocket of the person who's paying for it!
If stones are part of the design then usually there will be a second consultation where you get to choose your stone from a selection.
Deposit. If you want to go ahead with the commission then you pay a 50% deposit at this stage and we'll agree a deadline for the completion of the piece.
Completion . Once I've finished making the piece, it is hallmarked in London and engraved with any personal message you wish. It is then ready for you to collect or to be posted to you.
